I would like to congratulate Miss Valerie Hames. Her story was picked as the 1st place winner for first grade. Valerie and all other YAF winners for the 2008-2009 school year were honored at a breakfast. Valerie was presented a plaque and read her story for the invited guests. Her story has been sent on to the Walker County level and will be judged against other first grade students within the county.
