Measurement

This week we began working on measurement. We started the week off by exploring non-standard units of measure. Each child cut out a heart and measured different things around our classroom. We quickly learned that this was not a very good or easy way to measure. We all had different measurements for each classroom item. Today we began learning about standard units of measure. We learned about rulers and how to use them. We will continue our measurement unit next week, learning about both inches and centimeters.
