We survived our first week!

Well....we made it to the end of our first week. We had a great time getting to know each other and seeing what first grade is all about. We have been working really hard on three different assessment tools. I will use the data I get from these instruments to set goals for your children this year. During this upcoming week, I will be checking the DOLCH words in preparation for individual word lists.

We wrapped up our first week with a visit to the Media Center. Mrs. Massey went over Media Center procedures with us, read us a story, and taught us how to walk like penguins. For those of you who have never had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Massey, she is the best Media Specialist in the world. We will be visiting her again next Friday at 10:00.
